We have a unique curriculum at Beehive School. The educational program of our preschool is called “Diligent Bees Throughout the Year” and our primary school slogan is “Beehive – Taking a Flight Around the World’’. These programs focus on the comprehensive development of the child’s personality, which opens up the path to life, education, languages, people, and to oneself. The programs are designed in accordance with the Czech Ministry of Education and are inspired by the British educational program. Specific curricula are available at the beginning of each school year.

Beehive School is open on working days from 8:00 AM till 5:30 PM.

The first class starts at 8:45 AM. The school day ends at 3:05 PM. Children who come to school from 8 to 8:30 AM can spend their time in the morning club, which guides the kids to their ordinary classes at 8:40 AM. The extracurricular activities and the afternoon club start working at 3:05 PM.

According to our experience, we believe that the length of classes is not too demanding for kids. Varied teaching methods are applied in accordance with the needs of the child in a particular age. The teacher stretches the kids’ attention by changing activities and places. We keep our students motivated and fresh by interconnecting the curricula content.

We use the combination of verbal assessment and classic grading. We emphasize the intrinsic motivation of students.

Our school provides a wide range of extracurricular activities that are led by our lecturers and external professionals. The offered activities are intended for groups and individuals.

Yes, our pupils wear school uniforms starting from the Year 1 (5-6 years of age). For boys, the uniform consists of dark pants, white shirt, school tie and a red sweater or a blue vest. For girls, it is a dark skirt or pants, white shirt, school tie and a red sweater. For the athletic activities, the uniform represents a polo shirt and a fleece sweatshirt with our school logo. Preschool kids do not wear uniforms.

Primary school registration is held in April, while preschool does not have a registration date. If you are interested in preschool, call or write to us via email and we will be happy to arrange a meeting with you and show you everything. Exact dates for primary school are always specified in the news on our website. The registration form can be picked up from our office or downloaded from our website. We start accepting registration forms in September of the following school year.

A child’s school readiness is important for us when deciding upon acceptance of the child to our primary school. The aim of personal interview is to determine the degree of physical and mental readiness of the child for the school entry. Our enrollment also focuses on academic prerequisites, which enable kids to acquire necessary skills and knowledge. Prior knowledge of the English language does not play a key role in accepting the child, but its level of aptitude for the language may be a decisive factor for enrollment. Under the agreement, it is possible to accept the child to a higher grade in primary school if he/she passes the particular entrance tests.

The entry test focuses on the verbal comprehension, hearing memory, auditory discernment, overall awareness, and critical thinking – the abilities and skills necessary to master a foreign language and a greater workload.

Yes, our school cooperates with an external psychologist, who regularly attends the school and works closely with our teaching staff.

Given the fact that the teacher is the most important person for our children’s education, we realize that the creation of high-quality teaching staff is an essential prerequisite for a good functioning of the school. Therefore, we choose only qualified teachers who love the teaching occupation and believe in their students and their abilities. The kids are therefore respectful towards the teacher and are able to develop their talents. Our quality teaching staff is composed of the Czech teachers and native speakers, all of which have great personalities and can cooperate with each other.

Our preschool and primary school offer a winter skiing camp in the nature, and the spring trip, which takes place abroad and is intended for older students, since it is associated with the teaching process in a foreign school.

Beehive cooperates with a catering firm, which delivers high-quality meals to our school. Snacks are provided in the cafeteria. We pay attention to a healthy diet of our children. That is why we emphasize the consumption of fruit and vegetables on a daily basis. We also watch our kids’ drinking regime.

Beehive School is a unique school, which offers the development of the child in all aspects from an early age. In the family environment, children are motivated to get educated and learn with joy.
